There's just some folks that love to hate. Once they go down that road, it doesn't really matter who they hate. There are simply some folks or groups of folks that are more convenient for them to hate than others. Does that answer the question as to why you hate Jews and Christians?

I've never exactly understood why the @#%$'s hated them, so I can't answer that !

But the first thing to remember, Islam considers itself a nation therefor all islamic country's give themselves carte blanche to hate Jews.........

But up till the turn of the 20 century they did live reasonably peacefully together (still do in Tunisia)......... then the British got involved !!

We started drafting treaties between the Palestinians and Jews, at that time to create a "small" homeland for the jews.

Ever since the Jews were cast out by god, it's been their belief that one day their homelands would be returned to them !

Hey ho !!! The British got things moving !

Even at that time the two appeared to agree on an Israeli state, however, on most occasions, the jews broke the terms of the treaties and brought in more Jews and gathered more land !

The Palestinians put up with this for quite a long time before they got pissed off.

It didn't help that Lawrence of Arabia (British) got shat on by the British government !

I'm not so bold as to sugest the rights or wrongs of this situation, or terrorists, wars or anything else ! but that's kind of where the modern day problems reignited in the middle east.

This is also my simplified look at the middle east. I'm a simple person. But it sure looks like my country f&%ked them up.

Here's a good site to dig around in, to find out why we all hate each other so much ! and for so long, and why treaties don't ever appear to solve anything.

The antisemitism was boosted to gigantic proportions through a poorly educated radical nationalist (odd, since he himself was a foreigner. The only sound explanation is that he was off his bonkers) and religous fanatic.

Many of the socialist leaders in Germany, including Kurt Eisner, Rosa Luxemburg, Ernst Toller and Eugen Levine were Jews. Since Jews had been persecuted for centuries (they weren't allowed to own land, were bound to live in certain areas in cities, were not allowed to be citizens etc. etc.) they fought for equality. You would too. A poorly educated radical nationalist and religous fanatic disagreed with the socialist belief in equality.

Beware of radical nationalists and religious fanatics with lowsy schoolgrades.

Thanks for that, I'll take that perspective on board.

Interesting article. I'm not American, and don't live in America, but it does seem quite alarming!

My wife's a teacher, in a state school. Their policy is to be totally inclusive. Things get busy, but it can be done. They celebrate every holiday, festival, and occasion. Even if there is only 1 child of a minority. Their special days will be mentioned and celebrated.

But you talk about poor education being the problem. My observation, and it is my observation ! the families and children from the pockets of deprevation which tend too have educational problems, have far less trouble being inclusive. Whereas, the better off and better educated families are the ones inclined to comment. That isn't a sweeping statement, and obviously there are many exceptions.

My wifes school has a gypsy community close by !.......

You think it's tough being a Jew ! Try being a gypsy !

I wouldn't comment on all schools in our country, as many aren't inclusive. We have problems as well, But it's not just a jewish problem.

I understand, it perhaps depends on what constitutes poor education.

Or perhaps, rather, what is being passed off today as good education.

I don't kow were you're going with that statement, DT.

Clairification please?

If we take the radical nationalist and religous fanatic I was talking about earlier, he could have had any education he wanted. The family was not poor, quite the contrary. Still, when faced with secondary school he couldn't handle it. Not because he was stupid, but because he was lazy and socially incompetent.

Much like todays neo-national-socialists, really.

My comment has to do with the decline of education in this country (the US). It's not what it used to be.

I am waiting for the connection between the quality of contemporary education in US schools and the national-socialists of the III:rd reich hating jews to dawn on me. No luck yet. ;)

They always nickel and dime you down so it is a "good deal". I could go on... now they are start WW3. Oh... killed lots of innocent Palistenians, but read the old testiment and duting that period they slaughtered zillions of innocent people in the name of God, because "He" told them to... the original jihadists....

OK...say I punch you in the nose every so often. Then the one day you decide you've had enough, I claim you started WW3. Gimme a break.

"Oh... killed lots of innocent Palistenians"

Squatters on Israeli land that, instead of going out for a beer after dinner, don a pack of high explosives and try to sneek across the border and kill as many innocent civilians as possible.

"...but read the old testiment and duting that period they slaughtered zillions of innocent people in the name of God, because "He" told them to..."

What if He did?

Interesting how you have only three posts Rev9Volts...and how did your "V" get capitalized?

fair enough

now the question is "the chicken or the egg?"

Secrets Of Unit 1391

Quote:
June 28 issue - Sometimes a country's darkest secrets have a way of surfacing in the most offhanded manner. Gad Kroizer, an Israeli historian, was researching old British police buildings when he stumbled on a 70-year-old map drawn by a government architect. The map showed the location of 62 police compounds built by the British in Palestine in the late 1930s and early 1940s where both Arabs and Jews who agitated against Britain's occupation were interrogated. What caught Kroizer's eye was a camp called Meretz, which he had not seen on any contemporary Israeli map or read about in any modern writing on security compounds in the Jewish state. "There was a discrepancy between the map I had and the lists I'd been looking at," says Kroizer, who lives in Jerusalem and teaches at Bar-Ilan University. "I started putting two and two together."

What Kroizer had discovered and later footnoted in an academic paper (published in the March 2004 issue of Cathedra, circulation: 1,500) was the location of an ultrasecret jail where Israel has held Arabs in total seclusion for years, barred visits by the Red Cross and allegedly tortured inmates. Known as 1391, the facility is used as an interrogation center by a storied unit of Israel's military intelligence, whose members—all Arabic speakers—are trained to wring confessions from the toughest militants. According to Arabs who've been imprisoned in 1391, some of the methods are reminiscent of Abu Ghraib: nudity as a humiliation tactic, compromising photographs, sleep deprivation. In a few cases, at least, interrogators at 1391 appear to have gone beyond Israel's own hair-splitting distinction between torture and what a state commission referred to in 1987 as "moderate physical pressure."

...

But at least one former inmate at 1391 says the comparison to Abu Ghraib is fitting. Mustapha Dirani was brought to the facility after being abducted by Israeli commandos from his home in Lebanon in 1994. Israel believed Dirani knew the whereabouts of a missing airman, Ron Arad, and wanted to glean information quickly, while he was still stunned from the kidnapping. Dirani, who returned to Lebanon five months ago in a prisoner swap, said in a phone interview that he was raped by a soldier in those first days at 1391 and sodomized by an interrogator he identified as George. His civil suit against the state for more than $1 million in damages is scheduled to start in January. "It's the same style as in Abu Ghraib. They take advantage of the fact that Arabs and Muslims are culturally conservative," says Dirani, who spent eight years at 1391 but was never tried for a crime. In what might look to some people like a foreshadowing of Abu Ghraib, Dirani said in an affidavit four years ago that he was interrogated naked for days and photographed repeatedly

...

and re: the creation of Israel... its best to remember its as much the result of anti-semitism as anything else. ever see the movie "Voyage of the Damned"? nobody wanted them.

the roots of all this? banking. it was unchristian to make money handling money so The Heathen got the job and by the time capitalism came to the fore they were already well established. when the world economy turned sour and all but the monied classes suffered, it became very stylish to shoot the messenger.

that's it in a nutshell, anyways.
