Third world countries are not trying to dictate their way of life to other countries. GB and his gang are. From what I can see this way of life has gone backwards in time, like Phil said.

And I am not America bashing. I am thug bashing.

I am not silent about India either - believe me. If you visit my site you'll see that.

See it for what it is - crimes have been committed by people who want to lead the world. Should we allow it? I am part of the world and I think not.

This is precisely what GB and gang of thugs should be doing instead of invading other countries and trying to "disarm" them???

As the most powerful nation on this planet America is setting a horrible example. Invading countries, spiting on the United Nations, striking down social reforms, attempting to bring the death penalty to all the states, attempting to bring back Anti-Abortion Law, stopping Stem cell research, limiting health care, striking down environmental laws. There is a long list of progress that the Neo-cons are trying to destroy all in the name of financial greed.

I am not posting here anymore because there aren't enough people here that are educated in the topics that I am interested in. It's too frustrating. It's the wrong place. While the active war was going on there was interest in many posting but now it's waned. I am interested in American and Intl.politics but this is not the correct place for valid discusions.

See ya at other places Debbie.

But its amazing to me how many teachers there are in the US with violent, fascist views. Is hate, racism and narrowness what students are taught - and not to question your corrupt leaders - they are always right?

Before ya go, indulge us:

How many are there?

And the Ringer: How Do YOU Know? :bigeyes

After my e-mail of today (to them), I would estimate about 2-3 million or more of my fellow "Fascists" in the American Federation of Teachers and the National Education Association would like to see your source. Show us the Money.

Then could you tell us where to order OUR special Crystal Ball and Ouija Board? They would come in real handy in the classroom. :D

Rumors and Heresay; where would we be without them and those who start them?

The longer Bush keeps us in Iraq, the more skeptical I will become of him....but it is still to early for me to say exactly what is going to happen there. It takes time to turn a country back over to its people who have had no hand in running it for such a long time. If we pulled out now, there would be chaos.

But most of the things that Phil mentioned Bush has done, I agree with.......all except the environmental laws and the abortion laws. I am anti-abortion, but that is a moral issue. History has proven that you cannot legislate morality.

See you folks later.

I am not going to be responding to you anymore. And all the proof and crystal balls in the world won't matter anyway. Nevertheless, I hope you have a good life training junior high school kids social studies.

cheerio.

I am pro-choice. As a woman, nobody should be allowed to make decisions that will impact my life except me.

Also, from living in India and seeing all the abandoned children in homes (we used to regularly visit Mother Teresa's Shishu Bhavan when I was growing up) and on the streets - being used to help the Beggary Cartels, I think those children would have been better off not born. They are maimed and disfigured in order to inspire pity and earn more money for the women carrying them around. "children for hire"

When I was 14, my neighbour found a dead baby girl in her garden. She had been born healthy in the night to a family living on the parallel street, then wrapped in a sari and thrown over the wall, still alive, into my neighbour's garden. Course, she was dead in the morning. The police came and made a case and that was the end of that. I believe it was an unmarried mother who carried the child to full term then got rid of it under family pressure.

As an aside, one of my nicest memories is having my hair ruffled by Mother Teresa when I was 8. I was too small to know who she was then, just a wizened old woman with a large smile, but I feel so blessed now :) .

I am curious as to why you support this administration's environmental policies. no sarcasm, I really am.

Cheers

d

Hello Deb. Re-read my post and you'll see I am not against the environment....quite the contrary. Many of the problems are due to our government being, to a certain extent, in the pocket of big business. There are laws, but in many cases the government officials who oversee adherance to these laws worked in the past for the corporations that they are now in charge of monitoring. Sort of like the fox guarding the hen-house.

I too am pro-choice.....we must all decide for ourselves what is morally right and wrong, or the choice is not a choice, and means nothing. So, I am both pro-choice and anti-abortion at the same time.

As far as people being allowed to make choices regarding their lives, I believe that responsible people need to realize that these choices about their own bodies can and do end up effecting many more people than just themselves. The children who never get to see the light of day and live there lives, and the men who want their children.....after all, it dose take two. The issue I mainly have is that abortion should not serve as a method of birth control or family planning (or, in the case of most abortions, lack thereof). I believe that once a child is conceived, the life belongs to the child, not the mother.....or anyone else for that matter. It is the parents responsibility to raise the child.....not decide if the child deserves to live or die.

I would have liked to have met Mother Teresa. I wonder what she would have said about abortion.

I don't expect to change your mind about abortion, Deb. I'm just responding to your post. If you want support for most environmental issues though, I'm there! I also don't like poverty, but being very poor at one point in my life, I can say that it was a very care-free existance. So, although I would not wish poverty on anyone, it is not without its blessings.

Poverty is not without its blessings. It teaches people value. I've noticed the kids of very rich parents tend to piss it all away and pretty much are spoiled. That's a generalisation of course, but it's what I've noticed.

If you ever go to India the first thing you will notice are the big white smiles from the little kids playing in the streets and digging in the garbage. If you come to hong kong, you'll notice lots of scowls amidst the designer outfits!! Apart from Chris and me of course :) hahahahahaha

I think some parents should not have kids if they dont want them, but that this decision should be made within the first two months (certainly NOT when the foetus is viable at 7 months) there are too many dysfunctional families, abused kids and just plain irresponsible parents who have no clue, and never ever get one. This is badly affecting entire societies. Anyway its a big subject and too many ifs and buts, but like you said, the choice should NEVER be taken away from women. To do so would take abortions underground in any case and result in botched terminations, increased mortality rates, and God knows what else. And what do you do with rapes?

I've never understood the Catholic church's dictates on contraception. Its plain stupid (I'm catholic btw). Stupid. Pish.

Anyway, gotta sleep now, have a great day.
