Droolymutt! HAHAHAHA :)

I was SO sure that you don't like the song again! LOL :D

Anyway, I'm very thankful that you did listen carefully

again with neutral ears :)

I have a golden rule when sequencing. The rule is that

I try to come as far as possible without any quantization.

IF then I never use a quantization setting below 32.

16/quantizations are of course easy to setup, but with

16-quantization you will never groove, but sound mechanical

instead.

So the horns in question like all the drum fills and bass figures

in this track were recorded and played-back without any quantization.

I work for long with sequencers and the key for groove

is to get rid of quantization grids. For that it is necessary

that you use a high quality MIDI-interface with near-zero

latency time. Many folks can play very accurately on the

keyboard but are forced to quantize later because the damned

MIDI-interface and computer setup is too slow to record

properly, so you deal with lots of latency and signal delays.

Get a proper MIDI-interface (i.e. MOTU Midi Time Piece)

and compuer-setup (i.e. a DEDICATED recording and MIDI PC

without any other installed programs and drivers/utilities who

destroy the latency/reaction time of your system)

you can groove more "human". However, many folks go for

a 1,000,000,000 GHz. Processor instead of planning more than

500 bucks for a MIDi interface and use fancy $ 19.99 USB 2

channel thingies instead....

hahaha....

You amaze me with that technical stuff that I could never understand in a million lifetimes........

While I admire what you can do with the technology...(really - I'm not kidding or teasing you...)...

Personally, I prefer Humans...

They're easier to deal with than all that midi/MOTU/ProTools stuff.....

Less expensive, too.

hahahaha again....

We're different, Mike. We have different tastes musically and artistically. I know you don't care for my musical style, either....

But, on a certain level, we can still understand, respect, and like each other.....

So it's all good, my Friend.....

:)

Frohe Weihnachten (not sure if that's right - got it from BabelFish) - to you and your lovely Family....

"Frohe Weihnachten" is absolutely correct!!! :wm

I thought you asked for complicated terms like "quantization" :dunno :eyebrow

And it is NOT true, that I don't like your musical style :)

I would like to hear every day new postings like your "D R E A M " :yo
