About pot, yes if it can medically help people; sure why not use it in hospitals? Like with morphine. I'm totally against making laboratory marijuana - it's a plant and only the drug industry wants to make money by making synthetic marijuana when you can just grow the plant... Silly.

I know people who have to smoke pot daily. Who's lives have no meaning without pot and who don't consider pot a drug.

I agree with Drooly; everything in moderation.

The deal with the pharmaceutical companies (and even liberal Governments like ours in Canada)...is they want to charge $140 CDN an ounce for it.

Whereas (as you say) - it's only a plant.

People who are not wealthy, who can benefit from it medically, only need a few seeds and some potting soil.

It seems there are Smart girls in Hong Kong.

Most people dont realise that its the legal drugs like alcohol and tobacco that do the most damage in society. Most wont even admit that alcohol is a drug. Yet entire families are ruined by an alcoholic parent - violence in the home, dysfunctional families, etc all affect societies at large, but all perfectly legally. Alcoholism is a much bigger societal problem than the "street" drugs...

I hate alcohol abusers more than any other abusers.

After that, cigarettes. I hate tobacco because it makes my clothes and hair stink. That really sucks if you don't smoke.

I always smelt of ciggies. I used to smoke 25 a day for many years. The one day almost 3 years ago I said ENOUGH.

Now I'm the worst reformed smoker ever. And i'm now also allergic. Slightest smoke around me and my eyes start watering, nose runs, and I cough. I cannot imagine how terrible I was to inflict that on everyone else... But my voice is soooo much more powerful, controlled, and free than when I smoked, its unbelievable.

And I smell nice all the time... :aua

I have a friend who is blessed with really good vocal pipes.

He's one of those "on/off" cigarette smokers.....

He tells me that when he doesn't smoke, his range and clarity improves a lot.

And I believe him.... - because this guy can sing like Gabriel the Angel, when he's on top of his game....

I have tried it but I have never smoked so I just coughed my guts out and went for a beer!!

I was brought up on smoke tho. my mam and dad would smoke like chimneys when I lived at home with them.... Other people smoking around me dont bother me much, just the smell on my clothes when I get in from the bar, it stands out a lot as our hose is a smoke free zone

medicaly and technicaly, me and Denise drink too much, me even more so, but its not an unusual thing from where I live........ (no excuse!!!!)

Drooly...... italians and wine......... We have red wine with every night time meal and Sunday afternoon (if we have a sunday meal)....

We have noticed that we go to the bottle bank a little too often... :lol

... we should have one in the garden!! :lol

On a heavy week, its probably between 14-16 bottles of red wine (between me and Denise) 8 pints of snake-bite (me) 1 bottle of Gin, with tonics and lemon (me) and 3 bottles of Champagne or sparkling white wine.... (me and D ) ...... This is a now and then week.........

I have always wondered what cocaine is like, but NO...... I wont. (About 15% of my work collegues take it every week)

Anyway, no pot or any social drugs for me!!
