I might get some @#%$ for this but being American..speaking for myself only....is why I do believe that a war againist terrorist is vital to the security of the world..As witnessed by this insane and horrific attack today....You must become insane to deal with insanity...I do realize the majority of the planet views Us as arrogant and self serving...which yes we can be.....but at the end of the day we, our government, flawed as it might be, is just trying to bring an end to the insanity...and I feel deeply saddened for Spain as they take a serious strike for standing with us...Pris...Your country does not suffer alone

Terrorist camps are springing up all over the world. A Brit guy was recently arrested carring a bomb. These people are everywhere.

It can only be stopped when world leaders are seen to be fair and just in their dealings. Additional wars and bombs are simply not going to work. Its like trying to plug a leak in a dam when there are a million other leaks opening up everywhere around.

Terrorism is wrong and hateful. But there's no other way to stop it. Which country would you bomb next? England? France? Italy? There are terrorist operations there too.

Instead of going after Iraq (which wasnt a terrorist threat at all) and making the world so much more unsafe, the US should've been more focussed on solving the Israel/Palestine problem and rooting out Al Quaeda.

I should amend my earlier post: A british passport holder was the suicide bomber in the recent Israel bombings. He wasnt just arrested, he was the bomber.

You are EXACTLY RIGHT....

And THAT is why it will NEVER be stopped....because WORLD LEADERS, (the keyword there being WORLD) be they American, Russian, Chinese, Indian, Korean, Canadian, German, French, Spanish, Japanese, or WHOMEVER, have NEVER BEEN, and WILL NEVER BE, to EVERYONE; and as a result, Insanity perpetuates itself.....as it always has throughout the course of human history, for various economic or religious reasons, or just in the name of Human Greed....and it always will.

It's terrible whether it is Arab terrorists or other terrorists. It occured to me it would be very easy to blame Alqaeda for everything, just leave a copy of the Koran.

Need to find out the Spanish embassy/consulate in Hong Kong.

Hard to tell at this (early) point, Chris. But in the "for what it's worth" column, one group has claimed responibility for this cowardly atack on innocents who were just going about their daily lives.

But whoever did this, it again shows that humans are capable of doing great good, but they are also capable of very great evil.

No one should such a horror inflicted on them - it is tragic to see it happen to the good and innocent people of Spain.

I'm sure people in the UK are now living in greater fear, wondering when and where it will be their turn. Living in fear is horrible.

I just feel so very very sad. It could happen to any of us at any time. Makes me sick to think of it.
