Bud! That's an awesome page you've discovered. Lots of healthy suggestions about Christmas and Santa Claus. I know I was really annoyed with my parents when they told me that Santa Claus existed and I found out.....

I still try and get in the Christmas choir if I'm around and perhaps do a solo now and then (like O Holy Night).
We've always had Santa coming home with a huge bag full of goodies - yes, probably a western influence - an aunt or uncle dressed up hahahaha, but we prepared a great deal in advance, carol singing and church skits - now when I'm in a mall and hear traditional carols I get all emotional.
Christmas for me is the best time of year, yes we have fun exchanging gifts, but it is very spiritual and emotional for us too. Imagine a family of 20 [in India] all piling into cars and off to church at midnight, then back home for more carols, cakes and wine and opening prezzies and squealing and hugs!

This is absolutely true about the Santa we in North America grew-up believing in! Coca Cola's brainchild...
...and to take it up a notch, I understand the reason we celebrate Christmas the way we do is thanks in part to Bloomingdale's! (that is the whole gift thing,to the extent it's done here in North America....window decorations....etc...)
