she says people hate bush because HE IS A MAN OF GOD. that he is doing GOD'S WORK by RIGHTIOUSLY running this country in strict accordince to the CHRISTIAN HOLY BIBLE.

she goes on to say that the reason we are facing turbulant times is because ARMAGEDDON IS NEAR and the fact that this country has been on the decline for four years is because that it's all been PROPHICISEED in the CHRISTIAN HOLY BIBLE, is merely coincidence and a SIGN OF THE END.

she warns that if kerry wins, america will become a SOCIALIST REPUBLIC and that americians will loose all rights, including FREEDOM OF RELIGION.

she says this with all sincerity too.

sure, that sounds incredibly ridiclous to me but the scary part is, that's what is being preached in churches across america, that's what americian children are being taught in sunday school.

zombies make everything better!

that would have been before the christian god had forsaken me, ignoring my desparite prayers and pleas for help and strength and i realized to forbid knowlege of any kind is a form of oppression...

the strength was in ME and only me,

churchs frown upon individual thought.

my hunger for knowlege is insatiable. :blush

God answers all prayers...sometimes the answer is "no".

Nothing wrong with individual thought and quest for knowledge...but the truly wise person would be able to acknowledge that we do not have the capacity or capability to know everything, and that there just might be a higher being in a universe that has more stars than we are capable of counting.

There IS something wrong with lumping all churches into one category, though. ;)

Hey, kid, you don't have to dress up as the devil to get some knowledge.

Do a Politics and International Relations course at your local university.

Then you can get rid of all this adolescent bullshit about god and the devil altogether.

WOW! Dreamtone7 - I"m so inspired by your posting

God answers all prayers...sometimes the answer is "no".

AMazingly simple.

Lovely paragraph! I was talking to a professor today and he explained to me that the thirst for knowledge made us better and smarter people, he asked me if I knew anyone in my life who was a "Know-it-all" and I said I did then he asked me if that friend was rich, happy & successful - hahahahaha I said none of the above. He explained when we think we know all the answers, we stop learning and thats when we cannot improve. So my new motto is "Ask Better Questions" so that I can learn from the answers.

Have to agree with that too. Even Buddhists have differences from temple to temple, monk to monk.

Hey Chris, I'm a bit of a know-it-all and I'm quite well-off, happy and very successful. :fd

Why does that professor equate happiness and success with wealth? He sounds a bit simple-minded to me. A professor of what?

Yes, Chris, but we've had this conversation before.

Please remember that a mind that is too open and gullible can be just as dangerous as one that is closed. In order to close minds in the way it wants, prevailing power has to first open them wide so it can get inside.

Of course I'm still asking lots of questions, but not where I already know the answers. The fact that current corporate-American foreign policy has been and will continue to be the direct cause of global instability, violence and terrorist reaction is no longer open to question. We must support the millions of Americans who are as aware of this fact as I am.

But know that a request from God delayed is not a request rejected. Mankind always wants things right away but many times with God it is a process.
