Well I feel like I've found my McCartney with Chris W. in the band Thinking Out Loud - we work really well together musically.

Do you two seem to write more towards a genre - I mean either developing your own style or in tending toward a certain established sound? (If that question makes any sense, hahaaaa!)

Well he gives me a structured song with parts in and I listen to it and write the lyrics and melody line on top. I write ALL the lyrics. I may discard parts of the song or suggest some parts be longer and sometimes we disagree what is the chorus or verse - till I sing it of course - a chorus must be catchy! hahahahaha

Then we bring them into the band and everyone works on it (our bass player is excellent at arrangement) and we turn it into a band song. Different people make different suggestions it's a great song-writing machine.

I keep refining my lyrics - I'm open to criticism too :banana
