no, I avoid high impact sports, except badminton. I used to be a sprinter (200/400 mtrs) but I think I messed with my ankles, cause I twist them when I run now. So I stick with low impact exercises and lots of weights and body resistance stuff... I admire people who have the drive and patience to stick out long distance running like that.

Paul! :wgrin

Thank you - but I think everyone can run a marathon, with enough discipline and trainee :boink

But you dont need to :laugh I will run for you :banana

Debbie

I like such races, you can break your own border and see the life in a new view.

I like badminton, but I have problems with my right arm, my legs are ok, and I can run whenever I want -for badminton I need another person.

Sprint - wow... in school I did sprint too and now I run long distances and in school I couldnt imagine to run longer than 1000m :aua

I have a lifetime membership to California Fitness (have been a member since 1997), but after one year of not being able to go because I didnt have the time to spare (and gaining some 5 kgs arrrrgh), I bought myself some fitness DVDs, a workout mat, and some weights, and now I alternate between low impact aerobics, upper and lower body mondays to saturdays, about 7 to 7:30 in the morning.

Paul, best time to exercise is first thing in the morning, empty stomach, two glassess of water... and you have to eat right, no more greasy sausages and doughnuts and stuff... :t

www.s-t.com/daily/03-96/0.../5mara.htm

In 1991, Dunn ran across the United States to raise awareness for Habitat for Humanity. He averaged 27 miles per day, six days a week during the 3®-month trip.

In 1993, Dunn broke the world record for most marathons in a year -- 104. He said he had planned to run 93 in '93, but when he found out the record was 101, he decided to keep going.

A 24 hour race??? Be careful with that Kristina. I was a long distance runner once before also, it is a great feeling when you start putting on the miles but listen to your body, don't push it farther than it can go..

Hi Sterling

I always listen to my body, thats very important, I will run very very slow and make many breaks, and I think most of the time I will go and not run - will tell ya how the race was :)

Chris

:blush

I only make what I want to do, I love the feeling in a marathon race and it changes my life - I think. :)
