Nothing bogus about destabilizing the Middle East and establishing strategic position. Nothing bogus about waving the red, white, and blue at the Syrians and Iranians from across the border they share with us. Nothing bogus about hunting terrorists like the animals they are. Let's roll!

"nothing bogus about destabilizing the Middle East and establishing strategic position."

It IS about destabilisation of the political economies of other countries. Since the 1950s, when they took their opportunity in the aftermath of WWII, American corporations, especially oil and agribusiness, have been doing this quite systematically, starting in Central and South America, moving on to Africa and now the Middle East. In that wonderful Brazilian film 'City of God' 6 year-olds were joining armed drug gangs in the shanty towns of major cities. Why do they live there? Because corrupt rural landlords, accepting deals with corporate oil, agribusiness and logging companies, threw them off the lands they had farmed for centuries.

Larree, you have very little idea of the global trouble that corporate activity is storing up for us all in the near future. After the incursion into Afghanistan, the Al Queda network - predictably - abandoned its centralized training camps and dispersed across the globe. Very ironic: a sort of terrorist diaspora. British academics estimate that the network now consists of at leat 800 active terrosrists, and they are recruiting steadily amongst disaffected Islamic youth. So far, all your marvellous 'terrorist hunters' have managed to find are a few over-zealous Immams. Right-wing Republican America is just too collectively stupid to know what it's dragging us all into here. You can't get at the terrorists, so you attack Muslim countries, and the corporations rub their hands, which annoys the terrorists even more, so you threaten more countries, and so on, and so on ....... stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, VERY STUPID, Larree. Very stupid indeed. I wonder where the next bomb will go off, and how big it will be? I wonder if they have yet procured any plutonium?

We are in position to help them crumble from the inside. Starting with Iran the terror supporting regimes will become democracies, and the people will be much better off because of it. The people of Iraq are already much better off than they were under saddam. Iraq will eventually become a great, free nation.

Indeed indeed but Bush is very good friends with Saudi Arabia Larree, just like he is with Israel, wonder why?

So did you Americans actually get to tick a box with "George W Bush" in it? Explain your voting system to me. Thank you.

...saddam was still in power? Would you be happy if his sons were still raping young women and torturing citizens? They are MUCH better off today than they were before.

better off? i would say perhaps depending on the neighborhood. some may not have water or electricity. they ar safer.

iraq sent some stletes to the last olymmpics. perhaps soccer? i can not remember. well they lost big time. saddam's son uday? the "olimpic comittee chairman" with the torture chambers... he poured melted asphalt which is several hundres degrees and made the players walk on hands and knees over the asphalt. needless to say after the first couple of steps the skin on hands and knees to feet was melted, burned, and pulled off.

or the story of the something like 8 year old girl whose teacher overheard her say something derogatory about saddam. the teacher turned her in. the liottle girl was raped 8 times- 1 for each year of life in front of her parents and it was videotaped and the rest of her extended family was forced to watch it so the would make sure no one else wouls speak baddly of saddam. anyway... in the end the girl died.

so except for a few minor inconvienences like running water or something i do not know how anyone could say they were better off with saddam in power. that is like saying black people were bettert off as slaves in usa, because they were fed and clothed. well when they were freed for awhile they were not better off, because they suddenly had no shack to sleep in and they had not been taught to read etc. but they had their freedom and as each day, week and year passed things got better. no one here would say blacks in america were better off as slaves than thwey are today so it may take awhile for things to improve significantly for the iraqis'
