Bud - muchas gracias! I got the idea for Wolverines! about 2 years ago. My old drummer used to always shout it -- it was the battle cry of the resistance fighters in the old movie Red Dawn.



My favorite guitarists are Jimmy Page, Tommy Bolan, Buck Dharma, Joe Satriani and Richie Blackmoore. It's all about phrasing and melody to me. I use the Beavis and Butthead test. If I can imagine them headbanging and doing the "da-na-nah da-na-nah" thing, then I know it's right.



Baroque banjo, huh? I'll be checking that out this weekend...



Scott - Sorry about the heavy download. I encode at 192kbs because to my ear, anything lower starts to crappify. So I don't do lo-fi if I can avoid it. Hope it's worth it to you.



"all our $" is a powerful tune, so I can imagine getting a powerful reaction. Phuckem if they can't take it. It's honest and compelling. And that's what art is supposed to be, IMNSHO.

haha you know, one of only two lovesongs i ever wrote was inspired by beavis and butthead. i saw them on the couch and one said something about a love song adn the other said it was about "doing it" and i thought, hmmm, i don't have any songs like that, so i wrote morning glory for my solo project. pretty amusing to have you mention them in relation to your music! haha.



my new stuff is baroque banjo-like now. totally solo and way different than anything else.

PANick - I just read your review. Thanx a lot, man! The harmonies really aren't that weird, tho'. It's just straight 5ths an octave down. I do shift from Emaj in the verses to Em in the chrouses, tho', for that "Asian flair".
