Just listened (Artistlaunch). Very good work, Mike.

My own (a lot older) take on the matter:

Holy War

Galmin :) Thanks for the props :)

I forwarded your comments to Erik (the singer and lyricist).

I'll give you my thoughts on your track, but have some folks in

my studio right now who won't let me hear 'foreign' material :lol

Just a little bit time......

Dat's cool. You'll know by now that I cannot play the guitar very good :lol

Never released, first gig file (made by JJ on the fameinfested radplanet) tested in gigastudio, ever. Coop with me and CJ (We both appeared with voiceovers for the game "The Outforce" (O3Games, PAN Publishing) ;)

*poof* ;)

Alright.... ufff... I'm late :D

"Holy War"... strong message... you are fed up with CNN... huh? :D ;)

A surprising track, strong message and strong performance...

I wondered about your voice... I was not aware of such a deep one :) I thought I listen to the famous Bata Illic first :lol

Very good recording quality... sounds like you had some sort of big reverb device, experimented with it and a good compressor :D Well.... sometimes the long reverb is a bit too much for my taste... however, in general the sound is really cool and has impact.

D.I.R.T. is a rather thoughtful piece, very intelligent arranged.

I like the acoustic strings!! Yes, very moody piece which is more a instrumental than a vocal tune... there are long vocal pauses... not that I don't like your vocals, but the background vocals need some work... I don't think the notes do really work... it's all too deep for my taste... just my first impression.

Besides all critique a interesting track, which creates some sort of pictures in my virtual mind :)

Cheers Mike.

Thanks for investing time for a short-review.

Bata Illic?? :lol

1) HW

The recording was performed with an SM58 through a Spirit Folio linked directly to the PC. Dirt cheap solution ;) The effect was deliberately overdone in the bridge (the delay practically screams in the background at "Society"). Re my doubled vox: I was going for a Peter Murphy sound.

2) Dirt

Yeah the choir-thingie isnt exactly summoning feelings of beauty ;) Basically CJ and I made one verse each.

You haven't heard "DEEP VOICE" yet, Mike.

Check out "Bricks For Breakfast" at 00:54

"Ahh. This place is dead...whatever happened here, I think we missed it"

That's JJ's strings. JJ of "Black Water Music", Radplanet member. First .GIG file he ever did, he finally made additions with slow attacks ;) (not on this take).
